Jennifer Weiss Wolf: A warrior making big change for menstrual health

43

Gem Of The Week 3/29/17

She is a writer, an activist and a feminist who is at the forefront of advocating for menstruation policy as well as starting conversations that matter.

In a recent interview in Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter, Weiss Wolf says “As I’ve been doing my research, I’m finding there are lots of ways periods infiltrated the public discussion that just didn’t catch on. In 2015, this chorus of voices — whether it was writers, reporters, hashtag activists, bold in-person activists doing rebellious things converged. We all do now, but none of us knew each other at the time.”

She recognized the time is now! Her new book PERIODS GONE PUBLIC tells the full story of the emerging political movement for menstrual equity. Its set for release in November of 2017

We are grateful for her tireless effort and we are excited to celebrate Jennifer as our Gem Of The Week!
